question (id # 406)

Why do some people have discoloured crowns, veneers, and bridges?

answer 1

Some dental restorations are discoloured when they were placed and were the "wrong" colour. Matching existing natural teeth is a highly challenging task. With close work between the surgery and a dental laboratory this hardly ever happens.  It does however need more of the patient's time to get it right.
